Today was opening day of archery. I seen at least 15 deer and I shot a nice doe for the neighbor lady. I was only in the stand an hour so there is no story. The shot was about 25 yd's. She was down on the trail I come in on, about a 40 yd run. I backed my little machine right up to her and tossed her in back.

If it weren't for those fantastic "little machines" some of us old guys would be hardpressed to hunt someplaces. Nice job BFR. I'd like to SEE a deer. Had nothing but measly fawns around me all year long thus far.

I went archery hunting again this afternoon. Spotted a nice button buck "meat deer" for my freezer. Yeah, I like young deer meat! I shot him and he ran 20 yd's, turned and came back to die 10 yd's from where I shot him.
Next will be some bigger deer with the revolvers now that I have what I want.
1-1/2 hours in stands for 2 deer so far. They are like rats around here. I seen a bunch on the way out, they were running everywhere, all over the road too.
No acorns here at all and the deer are full of grass. Need to thin them good.
Scott passed on some because he seen a nice buck. I told him he better start knocking some down. They get smaller every year! Their food supply sucks this year.
