NM Blackhawk 45LC Work?
Hello all,

Has anyone had Hamilton Bowen do any revolver work for them? I got a NM Blackhawk 45 LC and ACP for very reasonable. This is the older larger frame gun not the new midsize. It shoot OK but I think it has posibilities. I am thinking of sending off to has accurization by Hamilton Bowen. I would appreciate everyones opinions.

Thanks all,

ddj

Hamilton has worked on every one of my large caliber (and one .32 H&R) revolvers and I could not be more satisfied. He is tops. Check out his web site and consider his sights. tu2

IS the older larger sized New Model Blackhawk better for this project or the newer Midsize?

Thanks

The larger frame size will handle much heavier loads than the mid-size frame.

I replied over on the 'fire. Bowen does fine work and I own a couple of full customs from him but he is not the only game in town.

Thanks for the replies.

I feel a need for a nice 45LC. I was debating between a custom Ruger or trying to find a used Freedom Arms.

cottonstalk - I'm not really handy. I do like to replace safties and triggers and may want to try a pistol sometime but for a hard working gun, I want to make sure it is done right.
