Is this Wesson Hawk as I call it. This began life as a Redhawk, a Dan Wesson barrel system was fitted to it. I have a 44 cal barrel and a 45 cal barrel and 2 cylinders and crane assemblies. This revolver can go from 44 to 45Colt/ 454 in a matter of minutes
Notice the screw added (ala S&W) to allow for fast easy change of cylinders ad crane assembles

AFRICAN LEADWOODNice concept. How is full house 454 recoil on the standard RH grip frame with those factory shaped grips? Relative to say the .44 loads or a 454 in something else you may have shot? Thanks.

Not that fun out of my own .454 Redhawk (converted from .45 Colt).

With the custom grips the Jack made that fit my hand perfectly spreading out the recoil forces the felt recoil is reduce dramatically and it is sweet to shoot. With stock grips the recoil pounds the web of your hand and is not pleasant

Rick RThat is a pretty dandy looking setup. Are all your barrels/shrouds the same length?

I think the whole point is that you can`t go into a gunshop and buy one.Pretty cool methinks.

Rick RIt's not something everyone is going to run out and buy. But some one with more talent than I'll ever have took parts and ideas from different manufacturers and made a unique and useful gun out of them.
If you don't mind more questions, who was the smith? And did he use the stock cylinder for the .454 or fabricate a new one?

I already have 5 other 44 mag revolvers, I also have 7 other 454/45 Colt revolvers. This was something that I wanted to do and I do not know of another one like this one in existence. It is a one of a kind and it is fast becoming my favorite 45 caliber revolver
