Did anyone really believe me when I said the negative things about the short barreled 500 S & W? Or did most realize I was only joking.
Surely most people are smarter than to believe the negative comments I made.
I give most enough credit enough to know that short barreled guns give up very little in power and really none in accuracy over long barreled revolvers.
If anyone is that stupid they need to do more shooting or studying on the subject as the accuracy is determined by sight alignment. If you can shoot you can shoot if you can't you can't.
Let me know how many were dumb enought to believe my irony.

I guess if you were dumb enough to take the time to post it. troll Roll Eyes

Well, you had me more confused then anything else, cause you did mention that you were going to shoot your punk'in roller. I thought, well if you hate the 4 inch 500 S&W that much you'll be selling it soon. I was watching the classifieds'.

All,

I did some chronograph testing with 4 inch 500 S&W with some factory MEGTECH 400 gr. and they were advertised 1600 FPS with a 10 inch barrel. I clocked with my gun an average of 1330 FPS from 10 feet away from the muzzle and a loss of 45 FPS per inch - FYI, the 500 S&W makes big rocks into little rocks quite easily. Not recommend, but things happen Big Grin

CK I have the S&W500 in 83/8" barrel. I conagraphed my 400 gr loads and they were doing 1620 fps. Good luck with the 4".

You weren't joking; you were trying to start an argument. You're just another keyboard commando.

Now run along and play a nice little video game, will you? That's a good little boy.

George now George: Go back into your coma. Let's not get to personal. Anyone with any sense knows I was joking. The only ones to get mad were the ones that didn't realize it and was offended because they were fooled.
There are too many easily offened people on here really. How do they make it through life? Maybe everyone handles them with kid gloves on or something.

Not knocking Bob, as he's a good shooter, but if it's the show I saw, I'd say the balloons were getting broke by shrapnel from the bullets hitting the metal plate they were attached to.

George was right. You just wanted to start an argument...
