First, careful with the lo velocity and jacketed bullets. I have seen 2 barrels wrecked because the bullets shed their jackets in the barrel.
For a really nice practice load try 2.7-3.0 Bullseye and a 148 hbwc. These are fairly cheap (Midway has them for 20 something/1000 ?.. its been a while). If you get to shooting in quantity they are hardly worth casting.
