Customized Freedom Arms 83 to 500JRH back from eng
I got my 500jrh M83 Freedom Arms back from the engraver and I thought I would share some pics. I am very pleased with the outcome. The pics won't do it justice however. Huntington did the conversion and Michael Gouse out of Montana did the engraving.

Wow ! Very nice ! You went with the JRH instead of the Wyoming . . Is it going to be a shooter or safe king ?

Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

It will be my carry gun. I won't own a gun I won't shoot or carry.

Wow, that cartridge looks like a slightly shortened 500 NE!

That's a pistol with genuine character, very much a signature piece.

You need pearl grips with that. Cool

Right On !!!! My friend with the beautiful blued/ color case 500 Linebaugh just finished a buskaderro holster for that gun . He's shooting it about 60 rounds a week now that he works here . He's hoping to get black and grizzly bears and moose and bou with it. . I would have preferred he make a full flap holster for it to protect the gun . but he was overly influenced by Elmer. Not a bad thing . except Alaskan weather is tough on beautiful gun finishes . Except yours. You picked an awesome platform to beautify.
