Redhawk
After years of handgunning, starting with a .44 mag Blackhawk in the 60's, trying to wear out Mod 29, or a 1911, and now a .45 colt Bisley, I'm prepare to declare, braced by a brandy, that the Redhawk in .45 colt, offers the greatest bang for the buck, value for the average big bore shooter. More than a little of this reflects my current infatuation with the .45 colt and 300+ grains at 1,300 feet, available in factory ammo. In addition, the RH cylinder can only be described as massive.
An inexpensive trigger job, SA only, makes it a very shootable handgun. It's often described as heavy. I'll argue, that its appropriate to it's potential. I find myself reaching over other handguns to find a 5 1/2" stainless steel barrel attached to a grip made for my hand. My next revolver will be a Bowen .475 from my Bisley, but I'll surely continue to find comfort with the RH. Just my opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly. The Redhawk is a fine shootin' iron. Mine is off at Clark's getting an action job (it was a little 'clunky'), and I can't wait for it to get back.

Those 300/1300FPS loads are real wrist twisters, aren't they?
