I have a six-inch barrelled 686 S&W 357 that I plan on carrying for hog medicine. What type sighting would you recommend for hunting in low light situations? Scope, reddot, or holographic.

MS HitmanThe Streamlight Stinger LED works really well. Easier to use than a spotlight.
Seriously, I have a T/C scope with a lighted reticle. It is fairly easy to use on moonlit nights.

kchampThanks for the info guys. I checked out the ultradot site and they look great. Will keep them in mind. While we are discussing hog hunting, have any of you had experience with 180 grain XTP's in the 357 on hogs or other big game? We are about to start reloading and thought about trying a batch.

I would look at the flat point Hornady bullet or a hard cast bullet for hogs using a .357. You will get better penetration with these bullets over the hollow points.

I too would recommend a heavy (180 grain) flat-nosed hardcast.
