Millet sights are great and so is the Ultra Dot. I have an Ultra dot on my BFR in 500MAG with well over 700 shots and it is doing a great job still.

jaycocreekThis subject always amazes me.I have a Tasco 3-9X Whitetail Hunter(A 29 dollar scope) on my 300 Win Mag....A good buy from someone hard up..I figured the first thing I would have to do was replace the scope..But it was in the price.......Many-Many 180 and 200 grain "High Energy" loads so to speak and it's on year after year...If it ain't broke don't fix it...
But on the other side I went thru two red dots for my .454.One a Tasco and the other a Bushnell.They just came a part after 35-50 shots......Bought a Burris Speed Dot and 500 shots later it is still right on...
Go Figure...

KingfisherI've been wanting to get a Burris for a couple of years, and I especially want one now that I have my 500 but I just haven't been able to afford one. I did see that Simmons now makes a Red Dot for around $50. I've had good luck with their products before and have no reason to believe that the Red Dot wont be just as good, so that's probably what I'll be getting. It's almost identical to the Burris anyway.
