Anyone got a Digital Camera and a DVD Player?

Russell E. TaylorAnyone got a Digital Camera and a DVD Player?
I figured I'd post this where other handgunners would see it. I didn't know which forum would be best, but thought you folks might be able to help.
I need someone with the subject capabilities to rent "Cobra" (yes, the draft-dodger Stallone) and do a "freeze frame" on the scene, early in the movie, where he holsters his custom 1911 pistol. I want a picture of the cobra-head grips. I asked how to get a JPEG or GIF of this frame and was told the best/easiest way would be to take a picture of the frozen frame with a digital camera.
I can get some custom grips with this cobra head for my Beretta if I can get the image to the gripmaker. Here in Iraq, I don't have a Blockbuster handy to rent "Cobra." If any of you could get me a good picture or two of the image, I'd be much obliged.
Thanks very much.

They look anything like these.

Russell E. TaylorNope. Very pretty, though.
No, these were... when holstering gun, while standing, the grips were... of course... at a right angle. The cobra's head was looking at you that way... with the grip panels parallel with the ground. If you rent the movie, you'll see what I mean. (If you DO rent the movie, the rest is pretty cheesy after the grocery-store scene, so... you may want to watch something else after you see the grips.)
Take care.

spectr17Hey Russ,
I put the word out over on JHO for you. I checked and even though I still have a 1,000 plus VHS tapes, no COBRA.
Hope all is well over there. Hey, it could be worse, you could be a Cub fan on a ledge somewhere today.
More CARE packages coming your way.

Russell E. TaylorYup, been to Boone Trading. Their cobra is close... but I kind of have my heart set on the one's like Sly's. (Actually, I'd rather have the 1911 here, too, instead of the mousepistol I have strapped to my leg.)
Jesse:
I got your last care package; haven't been good about writing my "thank you" letter, but I still have the address. I procrastinate horribly, but I come through eventually.
A Cubs fan? Not me. I hate sports. Never inherited the sports-fan gene. However... there are a LOT of "sports fans" here... and boy, is there a LOT of b**ching here about who is better than who, and so on. My God. Testosterone. Geesh.
I couldn't care less about the sports thing... but God, I'd kill just to spend a Saturday morning watching hunting shows on the tube. I sure wish AFN carried The Outdoor Channel. War is Hell.

McCluraIf you don't have the photo yet, I will try to do this tonight. I think I have the tape at home and a digital camera. I can download it tomorrow morning. Do you have a way of viewing hunting videos? I have a sack full of them I coud send to you if I had an address.

Russell E. TaylorVHS? It might be a challenge, but the impossible is done daily here in Iraq.
Nope, don't have the picture yet. If you can get a good image, I'd be much obliged.
Thanks very much.

nechroniusThe best way to extract still pictures from a DVD is to use a computer with a DVD-ROM on it and DVD software with screen capture capability (for example PowerDVD).
Assuming nobody's done this yet, I'll have pictures from Cobra available in 14 hours. I'm stuck at work for the next 12. If there are decent pictures of the pistol to be had, they will be made available.

Russell E. TaylorNope, nobody's done it yet, and THANK YOU! This is GREAT!
I'd pretty much resigned myself to not getting such grips made.
Thanks so very much!
