BeartrackHelp! 29 Value?
I have a neighbor that wants to buy a .44 mag I've had for years, but never use. I have no idea what it's worth.
It's a model 29-2, 4" barrel, no case. It is nickel and thus shows no visible wear. It has hogue grips on it, has had a professional trigger job done (very nice), and is Mag-na-ported. I'm selling it w/ a nylon hip holster & a Safari-land vertical shoulder holster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

buckeyeshooterI would say the value of your handgun is $500.00 to $550.00. Generally, the extras such as holsters, trigger work and the magnport do not add to the value. With Smith and Wessons. the factory box, papers and cleaning kit do add value. If you have the wooden presentation case the value would go up another $50 to $75.00.
It is a fine pistol!

BeartrackThanks fellas. I really like the gun, but never use it. It was my backpack gun on trips to Montana, Wyoming & Idaho. Carried a lot, shot very little, but I injured my back a couple of years ago and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to pack again. I'll ask $550 and see what the guy says. Thanks again.

Patrick StollYou may want to consider a premium of a couple hundred bucks for a California sale as the original Mod 29's are only available through in-state private party sales.
