I would think the 180 SSP would be plenty tough for hogs, especially at .357 Max velocities. Haven't shot one with this particular bullet, but have shot hogs with .30 caliber 150 grain bullets and gotten real good penetration.

Is a 357 Maximum enough gun for big hogs?

If so, is the Hornady 180 SSP tough enough or do I need a tougher bullet like a Barnes "X" bullet?
