It has been my experience also that there is an ammo out there that will shoot to your POI. I would start with the cheap ones first. Don't overlook the Federal bulk ammo. In shooting tests with my Contender, 6-7 shots out of 10 will be on the money. It is the other 3-4 that will get you. Slim

If you file on the sites will devalue the gun. If you ever want to resale I would try the several types of ammo as suggested by other posts. I had a single action .357 that I bent the front site just a little it was crooked from the factory, but take care you might break it off.
