357 is the choice.
Plenty of different store bought ammo choices if ya don't reload.

357 can perform down to 327 level or up to 357 MAG level

I am inclined to lean towards the venerable .357. As those above have mentioned, there are large quantities of different loads and componenets available for the .357. JMHO.

Certainly no advantage here in PA where no cartridge larger than .23 caliber is allowed during small game season. How frickin' ignorant is that law?

However, when it was legal, I loved to use my homecast lead 93gr 32 S&W Long bullets in my S&W model 16 wheelgun shooting gray squirrels off shagbark hickory branches.

Sure, 357's can be downloaded, too.

I'd always wanted a 32 mag, just because. But then I finally broke down and got a lee 105 gr .357" 6 cavity mold, and hence have absolutely no need for a 32.
