Pop, you must have been one of the lucky ones. A lot guys I know had ordered Anacondas when they first came and had to send them back to the factory because they just couldn't be trusted to even get 10" groups at 25 yds. I guess when they came out in bad ones, they came out in batches.

Yeah, but I still love my S&W Mod 29's and 629's. Too bad ya gotta baby em though. All of mine will do under 1" @ 50 yds. with whatever 250-260 gr Keith semi-wadcutters with a judicious amount of H-110.

Has to be my 44 Mag. I use Federal 250 FPJ in my S&W 629 VComp 5". One of my favorite pistols to carry a field. I also like to carry my Colt Python 357 Mag. 6" with 180 grain Sierra FPJ and heavy dose of 2400. Love that Colt action.

I guess fo here in Alaska the 44 mag is proably the most common pistol a field with heavy loads. Rugers Super Blackhawks and then S&W are a top choice.
