JacobiteGrips for Blackhawk
What aftermarket grips are there for the Ruger Blackhawk? Looking for something in rubber that has more to hold onto than those little wood scales that come on the gun.

<wildcat51>Try the Hogue mono grip. It completely changes the hold. Some hate it but I love it. Fills my big hand and postions my trigger finger perfectly. Only problem is that it sort of ruins the single action profile that standard grip panels create.

<Old Jim>I have the Hogue grips on a SRH and a Smith 19.
Makes them both feel the same. Puts your hand in the same position each time.
I like them.

Jim in IdahoTry this link:

Also might try here:
http://www.herrett-stocks.comDid not see too many single action grips on Herretts site, but I had one of theirs on a Super Blackhawk many years ago, I figure they probably still will make one of the Shooting Star grips for a Blackhawk. They will make it to fit your hand measurements as well.

WoodrowMy cousin recently gave me a Pachmayer grip for my Blackhawk. It says "2 Blackhawk" inside the grip, and says "Presentation grip" on the bottom of the grip. It increases the length of the grip by over 1/4 inch and fits well into my hand. My hand is likely slightly larger than average. For comparison, my hand fits the Ruger P85 factory grip well, but is a bit large for the Ruger GP-100 factory grip. Hope this helps.

KenscoInteresting post. I got away from the Ruger years ago because of the small size of the grip.
I had a .41 Mag. The last time I fired it I wasn't paying enough attention and had the butt sitting on the heel of my palm which was resting on a stump. That was the second, and last time that Ruger blood-shot the heel of my palm. I traded it in on a Smith and Wesson the next week, and stayed with S&W ever since.
