Dall sheep and holsters for scoped revolvers
Son has the urge to go dall sheep hunting and convinced me to go with him this August in the Wrangells. Really don't have much of a desire to shoot another but if he gets a nice one then I'll take a stab at one.
Want to do something different so decided to carry my S&W Stealth Hunter .44 mag. Ordered a Bushnell Elite 2x6 scope for it but need something to carry the rig in.
These seem like a reasonable carry rig and they fit a scoped revolver and come in left handed:

Does anyone here have any feedback on these holsters? Finally, has anyone killed a dall sheep with a revolver? Am thinking if all my lucky stars line up and I have a good solid rest my effective shooting range will be 175-200 yards.

Looks Like a nice rig,

I am not expert on holsters, But I just picked a Chest rig for my S&W 44 from Diamond D Leather for an upcoming pig hunt really like the quality, If you wanted somthing leather, He also will do custom work to fit scoped revolvers,

The other option is simply rugged, they make a very nice chest rig as well. Another leather option.

Was hoping for feedback on the Bianchi rig.

Leather is nice but really don't want to spend anymore than I need to and can pick up the Bianchi rig on Amazon for under $65. This hunt is also about staying as light as possible as everything we take in we have to carry. No one quotes weights for holsters but in my experience leather weighs a lot more than nylon.

Sorry, Snowwolfe. That rig looks like a nicer version of the Uncle Mike's unit I have been using for years. Can't imagine it won't serve you well. It lloks like a good design.
