44 Mag vs Clay Block
I did some comparison between Hornady XTP and Cast Performance Hard Cast. I was impressed with the Hard Cast!

Actually for most all of my hunting, the XTP did a great job. There is no deer that could withstand that. Most hogs either.

Both shoot well outta my SBH 7 1/2' and 16' Win Trapper/ Pistol prefers the xtp while the the Trapper loves the hardcast.

OP: you mentioned a "250 grain .44 caliber XTP" bullet in your video. Was this an error (seems all I have ever found are 240 grainers) or did Hornady make a change to their .44 caliber offerings?

Yes, it was a mistake. The bullet was a 240gr xtp

Wow, great video, very interesting results. Good channels with the hardcasts. I did some tests similiar to that bit didnt video them where we were shooting into hge chunks of caliche which is harder than that clay and has gravel. It absolutely demolished the xtps, a frames did well, barnes did well, the cutting edge solids could be reloaded. The barnes busters maintained their shape really good but not as good as the cebs, and then the hardcasts were pretty demolished. Not a game
Animal at all but gives me an idea of toughness. I feel this vid shows that flatpoint solids dont make a simple pencil hole thru game, but you can see the effects of velocity, which will
Only matter if penetration happens and the bullet stays together.
