Electronic Scales & Dispensors
I am thinking of adding an Electronic Powder Dispensor to my reloading bench to ease the metering of long extruded powders. I already have a RCBS Digital PowderPro scale for sorting bullets and cases so adding the dispenser would be no problem. I am just wondering if you folks have had experience with them and think that they are plenty accurate. Thanks! Slim

I have no personal experience with electronic powder dispensers, but my friends say they work fine. To solve the tedious problem of long grain powders, I quit using them! The short grain powders meter just fine and ball powders meter almost perfectly.

SlimL, I have the PACT System (Pact makes these units for RCBS ), and it is the same as the RCBS. I really like it, it is dead accurate, at least mine has been so far. It is a little slow though. When running 44grs. of Varget it takes about 50 seconds per round to fill. Some powders flow faster than others, and it seems like the shorter the grain of the powder, the slower it is. It has not caused a problem, I just have changed the way I do things.

I really like mine, and would hate to have to go back to the old way of measuring powder again.
