steel.50AE Desert Eagle goes Hog hunting.
So I thought it was time for my 10 inch .50AE Desert Eagle to get its first kill. I loaded up some 400 grain Barnes Buster bullets with 27 grains of lil gun.
The barnes buster is the one on the right.
Desert Eagle 10 inch .50AE Leupold 8X variable scope.
So we went hunting with dogs and they finally after two hours they got the sent of a hog. The dogs chased the hog around for two hours before they cornered him. I went in for the shot but he ran again through a swampy area. So he headed him off and I waited for him to cross my path. He was 30 yards away and I found him in my scope and fired the first shot right into his shoulder and into his heart before it exited.

I fired six more quick rounds into him even if it was not needed. I just always like to shoot until the animal is down.

steelThe boar dropped after walking 10 yards. All six rounds exited and the barnes buster worked better than I expected.
All in all it was a really fun trip. I felt the one advantage of the Desert Eagle over my SW .500 is the quick fire rate.
My dad shot the smaller one with a ruger .44 mag . one shot to the shoulder and took off the top of the heart.

I lived in Florida for a while and have hunted there extensively. Nothing quite looks like Florida!
