No gunsmith mount for peacemaker
Does anyone out there know of a scope mount that will "clamp on" to the barrel/frame of a Colt Peacemaker or one of the many clones thereof? I'm still pursuing the idea of the "one gun" concept, and I like the original, fixed sight Colt SAA in 4 5/8". The problem is, despite being a decent defense/plinker gun, it would be neat to be able to hunt with a sight you could adjust, without defacing the gun.

Also, while mentioning it, Are there any colt clones out there that are especially good, especially when using slightly "hotted up" .45 LC? I'm not particularly interested in a Vaquero, it's obviously heavier, doesn't have as nice of balance, and I don't think they point as well as the original Colt's. I messed around with a cheapie EMF a few months back that seemed to have good balance, but for $275, how good can it be?

Try US arms for the modern peacemaker, I have no idea about the clamp on sight mount. - Dan
