<changeling>LBT 280 LFN-GC opinions.
I am interested in expert opinions on LBT LFN in 44 Mag. I need accuracy from 1000 to ? There was an article in "Reloading Mag" that said the 260 WFN will tumble after 50 yards if the velocity is below 1200 fps.
Do the "LFN" designs provide accuracy in a wider velocity range? Any and all experenced replys would be very much appreciated.

Paul HI think it really depends on what you are after. If you plan to be shooting at 300 yds, then the LFN's are supposed to be superior, but I've seen some bullets with big meplats shoot extremely well out to 100 yds, and with muzzle velocities less then 1200 fps. If you have a mold, just go ahead and test it, and see how it works for you. The Lee 310 rf is a decent bullet, meplat 1/2 way between an LFN and WFN, and the molds are very inexspensive.
