Re: RAMSHOT ENFORCER IN 45 ACP
Hello, I plugged your stuff into Quickload. Adjusted the barrel length to 7.4" to match your velocity from the revolver. I tried the higher Ramshot load and it showed about 1500psi higher than Western reported.

The following just for info.

Ramshot Enforcer, 200 XTP 1.275" Your length not listed?

15.7gn 1174fps @ 18.7ksi

16.2gn 1218fps @ 20.5ksi

16.7gn 1263fps @ 22.6ksi

17.0gn 1291fps @ 23.9ksi

It looks like you will have a compressed load, but it should be doable.

Just for discussion sake, have you considered using a cast bullet for hunting purposes? I have the S&W Mountian Gun in .45ACP. Using a 45 AutoRim case with a 255 cast SWC and 7.0 grains of Unique, I get 950 fps and 30" of penetration through wet newsprint. This load is pleasant to shoot in my revolver, but is as far as I'll push the girl.

I am curious about using small rifle primers in a 45ACP case; or am I missing something?
