jwp47545 ACP Tarus Hex Bullets
Tarus was the first to load the Barnes pistol bullets. Tarus only loaded them in 45 ACP. This is the same load as the Corbon DPX the recovered bullet in the photo has an expanded diameter of .830 of an inch and the penetration is as good as any and better than most of the lead core 230 grain bullets. These are 185 grains the same as the Corbon DPX, if you can find them they are a bargan as they are selling for about 1/3 of the price of the Corbon load.

WhitworthThat's nice uniform expansion. What did you shoot it into?

John E DaviesToo bad these were only made in .45ACP - I would be all over these if they could be found in .40 S&W and .380 ACP. I'm using the Federal Barnes load in four chambers of my .480 Alaskan clone, and I think they are fantastic.... other than the price. The Federal load is a couple of hundred fps slower than the super hot Corbon load.
