Why are you selling, Biebs -- if you don't mind me asking?

I wanted to have a large-bore sidearm to carry in Alaska, where I hunt 1-2 times per year. I read up and found that the 50 JRH was probably the best of the 50 caliber rounds. I called Jack Huntington, and he explained that on a BFR, he has a new grip frame he puts on to handle recoil better, and black Micarta grips that fit it. He also adds Bowen sights, which are lower profile and more snag-proof than the factory sights. These changes were very reasonably priced, and folks here that have had it done rave about the handling of a Huntington-modified BFR.

I then ordered a BFR in 50 JRH with the 5 1/2" barrel, so it could be holstered. That combination is quite hard to come by, so I waited a while for it. In the meantime, I started playing around with heavy bullet loads in my 2 Freedom Arms revolvers. I finally settled on a 395gr Cast Performance bullet, which was at the upper range of recoil levels, but provided a big bullet at a decent velocity to drive it.

When the BFR finally arrived, I figured there was now no need to develop another Bear-defensive handgun, as my FAs would do the trick with the new loading.
