Has anyone had any experience with the 357 Max and the Hornady 180 gr Single Shot Pistol bullet? I'm thinking that it would be a good combination for deer. Thanks.

I have started loading for my 357 Max and chose the Hornady 180 gr XTP. I can't use it for deer here in Illinois however, cartridge case is over the 1.4" max limit. I like shooting it, mine's a 10" Contender Armour Alloy barrel with a 2X Nikon scope.
