Redhawk wood grips
I have a 4in Redhawk with the original Hogue grips on it and don't care for them much. Looking for a set of wood grips to throw on it. Don't need anything fancy, just hoping somebody might have an old original set collecting dusk. I know this isn't the classifieds forum but I thought I'd have a much better chance of finding a set on here. If this post is inappropriate feel free to delete.

Thanks,
Brenden

Nil Griffes (sp?) -- available on eBay -- they are a great grip for the Redhawk.

If you cannot find origials, you can try Eagle grips as well.
They offer styles similar to the Jordan grip in both regular and oversize versions and both with or without fingergrooves.

Personally I get along just fine with the original factory Redhawk grip.

Thanks for the info guys. Hoping to find a cheap used set but if I can't those Eagle grips look like they'd fit the bill.

Maybe you have one of the newer Redhawks. The one I bought back in the early 1980s had wooden grips and they were TERRIBLE. They took the skin off my hand every time I shot the gun. I removed them and put on Hogue Monogrips and couldn't have been happier with results.

I don't like the shape of the Redhawk grip frame.

I'm sure the wood grips will bite a touch more but I don't shoot too many heavy loads out of it anyway. Looking for something to fit my small hands and don't want finger groves. Years ago I broke my hand and now my ring finger partially overlaps my little finger when I make a fist so the finger groves don't feel like a natural fit.

Probably just grab a cheap set off gunbroker and refinish them.

They don't bite at all. It's all about how they fit your hand that is most critical. My Pachmyrs are terrible for me because they don't fill my hand.
