Not for everyone- Reloading style
I have been reloading 44 Mag rounds since 1987. I have I guess a ritual, after standard case prep. I get all my stuff out and it has to be in just the right place. I don't load for speed but for accuracy, better known as being freaking anal. Size cases, 50 at a time, each re-measured, then powder charge. Measured after each 5 rnds and then visually checked. Then of course bullet seating. Each rnd checked for any issues. All the while my tv is blaring and I never seem to hear it or even know it's there. Part of the ritual though. Ex-wife came out one night during a long reloading session and had to turn the tv off and push me to get my attention. I was so engrossed in reloading I never heard or saw her. It is also a great stress reliever, go figure. Just some thoughts from an old reloader.

We are of the same mind. It's a great way to tune out the world.

No tv or other distractions for me. I'm not anal about my reloading, but I do have a certain way I do things . I am anal about keeping track of what powder is in the charger and what primers are in the priming tool tho.

Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

I turn off my cell phone and lock the door to my reloading room.
