KedronPrice Check
A local gun shop has a very lightly used ruger blackhawk 45 colt with a 7.5" barrel in stainless steel for $410. This seems like it would fit the bill for a dedicated hunting handgun. Does this seem like a fair price considering excellent condition?

ShofOnly you can be the final judge of a fair price. After all, it is YOUR money.
I bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag, with Pachmyer grips, that also had a trigger job done, in blued steel for $300. There was no wear on the blueing and the gun showed very little use.
Maybe stainless models in .45 colt are more valuable, but it sounds a bit high to me.
Take a look on sites like gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com and see what similar handguns are selling for. That'll give you a good idea of what the prices are....

PeterI would think that $410 was a fair price, but, try talking him down! The 45Colt is an aficienados (sp) caliber.

Woodrow S$410 is a fair price to pay. Yes, sales tax will add a few bucks but if you buy over the internet you will have to pay 25-50 bucks for the transfer and about the same for the shipping, so that adds up right quick. I have been there/done that MANY times. Pay the $410 and be happy.
