Freedom Arms .454Casull?
I found a Freedom Arms second hand in a gunshop nearby.
The gun looks to be new or have very little use, I think it's a premier grade, as it has a woodenlaminate grip. Sling studs have been installed and the barrel looks new.

The only thing is the price.

2500UERO - I thought that would by me a new one in the STates, although apparently they went for around 3500 to 4000EURO when they were still being imported here. This could be another buying point, that seeing as no one is importing them, they value could go up. Or down if someone starts up agian.

I have heard all the good things about these guns, currently I own a Taurus Raging Bull, which, by comparison, I would descirbe as a piece of shit.

What are they worth in the states?

I spoke to the people who used to import Freedom Arms. The bloke said they used to sell them new for that much.

So I called the dealer, asked him if the guy selling it is willing to haggle.

Just have to wait and see...

I've noticed large variences in the price of FA 454 revolvers. I bought my new field grade last December for $1200 + $160 for micarta grips + 10% sales tax. A great deal compaired to the $1600 + tax some shops in the U.S. are asking for a Field grade pistols without micarta grips.

I have had my FA454 Premier 7.5" since 1997. Love that pistol, I installed a TSOB scoped with 2X Burris Pos Lock and boy is it accurate w/ my handloads of 2400 and Speer 300 grain Golddot's it shoots better than me. I really enjoy bear hunting with this pistol. I agree about the tarus, the Ruger would be a much better pistol for the price. I paid $1200 for mine with sling studs and micarta grips in 1997.

EXPRESS,

If you can import a FA from Germany to Italy, i advice you to contact shooting-center.de, a FA Premier Grade is a little bit more 2500 euros for a brand new premier grade. I have purchased from them a Desert Eagle .50 AE, a FA .454 and one other FA in .50 AE.

The contact person is Stefan Bader.

Great service and great price. You can contact me through my e-mail for details.
