Smoker1Shoulder holster advice
My Son-in-law wants a shoulder holster for his 9MM Makarov. I don't have a clue what to look for. This will be a Xmas gift. The only one I saw was a Falco rig but wasn't sure. I knew this would be the best place to get info. Thanks in advance, smoker1

nordrsetaI messed around with several shoulder rigs back in the day. Try as I might I never found a shoulder holster that worked very well. When it came to concealment, speed, and comfort, something always had to give. If I needed something other than pocket carry or a belt holster these days I might give one of the "concealment shirts" a try. They won't be fast but they shouldn't print and they ought to be less uncomfortable.

Smoker1Thanks Guy's. I have no idea why he wants a shoulder holster. Seems like it would always be in the way. I guess he wants leather. My main question is verticle or horizontal? Looks to me that horixontal would be the easiest to draw???

The horizontal may be easier to draw but without serious training and constant drill a fella is all but guaranteed to cross his body (upper arm) with the muzzle when drawing or holstering. All that said, the photos of the Falco stuff suggest it's well-crafted, and it looks like the holster can be used as a strong side belt rig too.

Smoker1Thank you nordrseta, for your advice. That was the only rig I could find that seemed to be made for the Makarov. Guess I'll get it ordered. smoker1
