Ruger Super RedHawk Stuff
Hey there:

Where can I get some good looking grips for the Ruger Super RedHawk ?? I'd love to get the "BearHug" type. Also where is the best place to get the lighter springs for a good neat trigger pull on the SRH ??

I'm also going to get the Bandolier type holster to carry it in. Anyone who has any info on any of this, please reply. Thanks in advance.

Check with Brownells for the spring kits. You may also find them in Midway as well. You did not specify the material you want for your holster, but Uncle Mike's should have a cordura holster that may suit you. There is a brand of leather holsters that Larry Weishunn endorses/uses, but for the life of me I can't recall the name right now.

Both of my long barreled hunting revolvers have slings on them for carrying in them in the field when I'm not holding them in my hand.

Hope this helps.

My favorite holster for the large revolvers is the Bianchi X-15 sholder holster. It has a clamshell spring that will hold the gun secure if you are doing jumping jacks or standing on your head with the trigger gaurd strap off. It's also very comfortable.

Spring kit is available from Wolfe for about 15 bucks. The lightest hammer spring begin to cause failure to fire 100 percent of the time when hunting temps came around. I replaced with next level up and new, lighter trigger spring and NO more failures to fire

When ya get to fiddling with the trigger group make SURE you are weariung safety glasses. The pawl plunger and pawl plunger spring can leave the triger group at good bit of velocity.

I hav NEVER found the originals, and lost control of the replacement for a moment. They hit my safety glasses with more impact velocity that I would want coming at my eyes!

Just an opinion of course!
