Biebs44 Magnum Hunting Revolver
On handguns and double rifles, I've always used open sights. If you need to scope them, you're using them beyond their intended range :-)

AtkinsonA great set of grips for a hunting 44 was or were by Fuzzy Ferrant, I recall he was a LA police officer I had several pair at one time..I also liked Herret grips in Twin Falls,Id.

AtkinsonAgree irons on handguns, doubles Winchester lever and just about any rifle works well with irons but its free choice.

Unfortunately, Fuzzy Farrant died quite some time ago.
I have two sets of his DA revolver grips and wish I had more.
They are the best I have ever used.
With Farrant grips, the revolver fits in your hand perfectly and points naturally straight at your target.
Somebody should make them again.

Bill/OregonBe nice to see a photo of those Farrant grips.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

Michael RobinsonHere you go:
These are Fuzzy's small base style, which requires relieving the front corner of the grip frame and IMHO improves "pointability."
And that is 24 point checkering, which is the best for this purpose, again, IMHO.

Bill/OregonVery interesting and unusual grips -- and beautifully crafted!

Michael RobinsonYes - I should have added that they have a subtle but sufficient palm swell and are dimensioned to fit the shooter's hand.
Most hands are pretty "normal" but I suppose that hand-fitting can only help and could be important for very large or small handed people.

Atkinsonprior to a hand injury I liked the SW mod 29 6" or better yet I favored the 41 mag mod 57 for deer and Javalina and a mod 58 for protection etc.
