MS HitmanRe: small game 22 caliber handgun?
I have the Ruger convertible single-six as well. I have used it to take many armadillos, squirrels, and other vermin. I enjoy using it very much.

HolmesI've owned a couple of the Ruger convertibles and they both were noticeably more accurate with the 22 mags as compared to 22LR.

MS HitmanJust goes to show every gun is a law unto itself. I have found just the opposite to be the case with my single-six. The accuracy was okay with the mags, but better with the lr cartridges. There are times I'd like to have the mag, but usually just keep the lr cylinder in it now.

HolmesA friend of mine has one that, according to him, also prefers the LR.
I was always skeptical of his claim, but prehaps I was unfair in my judgement.

44magnumI also own a Ruger Single Six, in fact have had several over the years. My current model I do not use the 22mag cylinder, but I have used it with the others. Accuracy in the other two I've owned has been good in both calibers but 22mag was always slightly better.
