Alone with the 38-44?

Anybody besides me use the 38-44 to hunt with anymore? Prefering a fixed sight on a field gun, the Heavy Duty has traveled with me for many miles. I know in this day of hi-tech my choice seems rather archaic. It's not the only one I use but has been reliable on deer and vermin. Just wondering.

I do not have the actual S&W 38-44 HD, but I have loaded and shot many a round of .38-44 out of my Highway Patrolman. It is a fun and effective round to shoot.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

I just traded my Highway Patrolman for a 610 this past weekend. Never did shoot it.
