Just about any of the pistol smiths who work on Rugers will do that for you. Try http://www.reedercustomguns.com/ I have a SBH with his brake and a Contender they work well.

Why do you need a muzzle brake on a small bore like the .44 Mag? [Wink]

If you break it it will be loud. More blast at the ears.

I agree with the no brake. It will make it louder than it already is. But if for some personal reason you need one, then I believe the Magnaport is a little quieter than others. I believe that SSK also does magnaporting.

William , i use a super blackhawk, it had a 10 1/2 inch barrel my max range for deer is about 40 yards so i went to a 4 5/8 inch barrel now i can also carry it in comfort all day long when i am not hunting with it. I had it mag-na-ported . (4 slits) Very comfortable to shoot. But i think the Pachymer Decellerator grips helped the most.

I have two identical S&W mountian guns in .44 magnum. One is magnaported the other is not.

With eyes closed nobody can tell which one they are shooting. The Magnaport reduces muzzle lift but does nothing for felt recoil in anyones opinion who has shot these two revolvers.

The only real muzzle lift reduction comes from shooting very heavy garrett ammo. Standard factory ammo has no effect I, or anyone else can feel.

We have also done this with two identical Model 70 300 wtby magnums. One with Magnaport the other without. The only difference was the way the ports ripped through the sandbags, the bench pad, and blew dust and crap back in your face. The felt recoil reduction was ZERO! It may be measurable with test equipment to prove it works but it's so little a human body will not see a difference.

I would not have believed this myself unless I was involved in the side by side tests we did. Save your money and do a real muzzle break or nothing at all.
