Browning Buckmark 22
I hunt rabbits with my Buckmark handgun. My problem is I am having trouble picking up the front sites. Is anyone aware of a fiber optic site I could add to this gun?

Williams Fire Sights. It's what I have on my Buckmark.

Thanks Clark. I checked with Williams, unfortunately I have a Buckmark Target and their sites won't work on it. They have no other options. Guess I'll buy some florecent paint and try that.

Well, you could always try using a scope. Makes the pistol much harder to shoot offhand, but very accurate at long range Big Grin

I have the 14" Sil. model 7 love the ProPoint/Aimpoint optics on mine. Where did you get that grip showing a bottom?

I might as well carry a shotgun if I'm going to lug all that hardware around. Smiler I've never tried a scope on rabbits, a buddy of mine shoots a ruger with a red dot on it. He's deadly accurate with it. I hoped to make my open sites work better before I resorted to scopes.

The grip is a Nill Grips anatomical match grip, with adjustable palm rest. I like the control it gives me when shooting this setup, which I use from field positions with the bipod. I put my off hand under the grip as an elevation wedge when needed. This setup shoots as well as my tricked out 10-22 rifle, with less than half the weight and length jump

If you want a fiber optic sight, check out "HI VIZ" sight systems. It comes with six different size and color inserts and fits both the Buckmark and Rugers MKIIs(with heavy barrels). I was at a gunshow in Wasilla this weekend and bought one for my Buckmark and MKII. They worked fantastic for me (half blind) and my wife liked em too. The web site is hivizsights.com. Greg

Thanks Greatnorth, but another dead end. Looks like I may need to trade my buckmark for a different model. Mine is the 5.5 target, apparently none to the optic sight companies make a sight for that gun.

Well, if you decide to do that, let me know. I've got a Camper with the fiberoptic sights I mentioned above that I'd be interested in trading for a target model. Just lemme know...

I had decided on a buckmark and purchased the rosewood grip model, which came with the fiber front site.

Great gun

I looked at Brownings website. That rosewood grip model is a nice looking weapon. Clark - I'm in Wisconsin, not sure I want to go through a long distance trade. Thanks for the help.
