You can check with John for the contact info, but Von Ringler is a favorite among many Linebaugh owners.

I just use a regular Blackhawk holster.

The Linebaugh cylinders are bigger in diameter and longer than Ruger's cylinders. How can they fit a regular Blackhawk holster ?

Snugly?

I use a Davis and sons holster, more of a "western style" holster. It fits fine... not even snug. The style of holster you're after will determine what will and wont work without being custom.

I just sent the gun in, so it will be a few months before I have a .500 Linebaugh. I think a good idea for this type of gun would be a dual purpose holster. One set of belt slots for strong side carry, and one set of slots for cross-draw carry. I don't know if anyone makes such a holster, but I am starting my search now. An internet search turned up nothing for Davis and Sons. Do you have a contact number or website ?

Thanks,
Neal

Go to Murray Leather's website. I just received one of their hunting holsters for my .475 FA. The website states it is designed for both cross draw and strong side carry. I've yet to wear it around enough to tell how it feels though. I'll let you know how it carries.

Sorry, I don't it's something I bought from the Dillon catalog back 10 plus years ago. I bought it for a standard 44 Super black hawk. Years later I used it for a Bisley in 50AE I had. That had a larger cylinder, but not the really oversized ones like Linebaugh, Bowen, Clements and some other smiths use. When I got my Clements 500 I just use it in that same holster, and never noticed any tightness. The holster might be too big for smaller cylinders now, but I doubt it.

OK, thanks to both of you for the responses. I'll check out Von Ringler and the contact on Clement's site too. I checked the Murray site, but that's not the style I like. A copy of the old Bianchi #1, if I recall the number correctly, is what I what I would like to find.
