Ruger Super Redhawk. What are my sight options?
I've got a Super Redhawk in .454 Casull. It shoots great, but I really don't like the factory sights. Does anyone if somone makes different sights for this fine pistol?

I was hoping for a rear sight with a hole in it, and a front sight with a pointed blade, or perhaps a ball atop a pin, etc. I thought about making my own rear blade and modifying the front sight, but I figured I'd check what was out there first.

Much appreciated,

I have the same gun and replaced the factory sigts with a rear V sight and front gold bead. They seem to be a lot faster to pickup. They are made for the Redhawk but fit the Super Redhawk just fine.

That sounds a lot better than what I have now. I'm not really concerned with how fast the sights aquire, but I want something narrower that I can align better. The stock notch and front blade are just too wide. I want that is more precise.

When you say "they" made them for the Redhawk, who are you talking about? Are they a Ruger part, or are they made by some other company?

Thanks.

Made by Ruger and can be ordered from Brownells. I think I paid 15 bucks for them including shipping.

The bead and notch are for speed. Try one of the Millet Sights. They are available from Brownells.
