Checkering wood grips
Does anyone have any suggestions for a craftsman who can checker a set of wood grips for a Ruger Redhawk? I recently "won" an auction for a pair on Ebay and I believe I'd like a diamond shaped panel of checkering centered around the grip screw on both sides of the grips.

Before anyone suggests that I do the work myself, I learned one bit of wisdom from Inspector Harry Callahan "a man has to know his own limitations". Smiler

Thanks,

You might think of getting 'flat top checkering' .I do that on all my pistols and especially on the backstrap it saves your clothing when the pistol is a carry gun. The old S&W M39 with course sharp checkering was notorious for wearing out clothing.

Mete,

That's a good idea! It would probably save some of my hide too.
