<pehantel>Fireforming and P.O. Ackley
I am a huge wildcat fan and have to fire form most of the cases I use. Anyway, the person that I get to make most of these barrels for my T/C Encore and Contender recomends that one seat a bullet against the rifleing and reduce the load 10-15% from max. P.O. Ackley says that this is a big no-no because of the pressure spike. My guy says that much of what P.O. says does not apply. What do you all think.

Paul HMike Bellm, PO's protege recently stated the best way to fire form is to use a slow burning powder, full case w/ compression, and bullet seated well into the lands.
I've formed enough cases for my 35 whelen ackley to know that bullets nead to be seated well into the lands to prevent shoulder setback, and subsequent case/head seperations.
