Lee MartinRe: Favorite .41 bullet....
It's not the best "all around" bullet, but the 295 grain SSK is an excellent game slug. In strong .41s, you can easily push it to 1,250 fps (19.0 grains of W296/H110).

www.singleactions.comPS - by strong .41s, I'm referring to Blackhawks, FA 83s, and Dan Wessons.

<9.3x62>Remington 210 JSP. Cheap, very accurate (surprisingly so), and tough enough (based on my informal penetration tests) to handle game up to and including black bear. I'm sure it would work fine for personal defense as well...
I've had excellent results with IMR4227, 2400, and W296. I just bought some more AA#9 last week, so I'm going to try that powder with these bullets as well. I use CCI 300s for IMR4227, 2400, and AA#9; I use CCI350s for the W296.

Lee MartinBob,
Probably a 210 to 220 grain JHP (over 20.5 grains of W296/H110).

RJMFor the .41 Magnum shooters out there...if you could only use one .41 bullet for all your shooting, that's plinking, target work, hunting and personal defense which one would you choose.... It doesn't have to be just one load as the velocity can be varried, but just one bullet.
