No. As per Freedom Arms, shooting 45 Colt in a 454 Casull chamber may etch a ring in the cylinder at the point where the 45 Colt case stops. Then when you fire the longer 454 Casull load the brass may swell into the etch, thereby creating extraction problems.
Then you also have the problem of the buildup of residue, not a problem for those who take care of their firearms.

MS HitmanNot so 9.3. There is loading data on the FA website and they do point out that it is not for revolvers other than FA. Within this data are the factory loads used. They are pretty much at the top end of the data. Also, when this was brought out; FA and a few custom five shot revolvers were really all there was. As far as I know, FA has not produced ammo for a while now.
Besides, one can load a 357, 41, or 44 mag hot enough in the FAs to wreck a S&W.

<9.3x62>To be sure, their data is impressive, but it is actually lower pressure than the Alliant data, and compares favorable to the Hodgdon and AP data. (BTW, I just read that Western Powder bought out AP...)
Anyway...
I am starting to warm up to the idea of going with 454 cases, just downloaded a bit for my shooting comfort. Thanks for all the input...
