New Bisley Hunter
I picked up my Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter this week, and was able to take it to the range yesterday. It is noticeably heavier than the regular SBH, due to the barrel. I hadn't shot a Bisley grip before; I find it more secure than the 'dragoon' grip but also notice that it and the heavier barrel seem to push the recoil more straight back than rotating upwards like my other single actions. My only complaints would be the heavy trigger (5lb. 4oz.) and the grips being a little loose. But I like it!

Excellent! I have one as well and I really like it. The trigger was horrendous, but that was an easy fix (thanks bfrshooter!). They definitely push back more than rotating upward.

I have 3 of them, all customized by Reeder. One I kept as a 6 shot 44mag but is a full custom, the 41mag was converted to a custom 5 shot 410GNR and the 45 Colt was converted to a custom 5 shot 455GNR. Fine revolvers, all of them. The heavy barrel allows for the more powerful cartridges without a beating to your hands. The bisley grip helps with that as well. About as perfect a hunting handgun platform as your going to get.
