jwp475The Ugly Truth About Huntington And Barnes
I beleive that most here know that Jack Huntington builds some of the best most accurate Revolvers in the world. You probable didn't know that he also does exceptional work on 1911s. Jack fitted a Les Baer slide to my Colt frame & added a Storm Lake & Tool Match Grade Barrel to it several years ago. Teamed with the Corbon DPX and or the Taurus Hex bullet. Both are loaded with the Barnes 185 grain all Copper 185 grain bullet. This combonation is very accurate and terminal perfomance is exceptional, agreat load in 45 ACP

TBEAR99nice colt thanx for info on jack i'll be sending him a super redhawk for a 500 conversion as soon as my7 stw gets back from being blueprinted
I sent him an old stock Norinco 1911 a few years back. Barrel was shot, so Jack found a barrel in his parts box, and fitted it to my basically stock gun, other than him fitting the barrel, and tweaking the trigger a little. He also said he delayed the lock time so I could get a mechanical lock, to shoot some 45 Super ammo in my gun. Rather than a heavy spring, as usually done on 45 Super conversions, he did this. Accuracy? Lets just say I've sold off most of my other fancy .45's, and have kept this old gun longer than any 1911. Won a bet from a guy who dared me to hit a skeet disk at 100 yards off hand with my old gun. Didn't hit it on the first shot, but got it on the second offhand, tiny factory sights and all. Lucky shot, but I just love this gun that Jack tweaked.
