Help with ultradot
Using everybodys advice, I'm looking at buying an Ultradot or maybe the Matchdot.
My question is will it fit the spacing on a Ruger Superblackhawk Hunter?
Or do I have to get a Weigand base to use it?

The standard 30mm or 25 mm will fit, 4 minute dot.
Those with adjustable dots have larger turrets.

The Ultra dot 30 mm and 25 mm will fit, the Match dot will not as bfrshooter has said. Now if you get the Weigand mount you will not have a problem. I wanted to mount my Match dot on my Redhawk and could not, so I used the 25 MM on it.

If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

Yeah, the 30 and the 25 will fit, but the Ultradot 4 we tried didn't so I got a Weigand base for it.

My blackhawk had Leupold rings for the scope I had on it previously. I bought the match dot so I could have the benefit of the smaller "dot." It fit just fine.

That is not a Match Dot, it is a 25mm.
The 30mm will not fit nor will a Match Dot.
Spacing on that base is 1.68", roughly, between rings. A Match Dot needs 2-1/8"+.
I have that base and I needed a front extension ring. Even a Bushnell will not fit that base.
