375JohnI finally got it… 500 S&W
I picked up my 500 S&W performance center 10”, set of dies, 100 cases and 325 gr. Sierra Uni-cor HP (the only bullet they had in stock).
Now what? Do you all have any good load data, primer recommendations, casted bullet recommendations (hunting and practicing) and hunting bullet recommendations?
In my last post it sounded like the Ultra dot was the way to go. Is that still the general consensus?

WhitworthI can't help you with load data, but with regards to the Ultradot, I highly recommend it. I have an Ultradot 30 that I have been thoroughly abusing for more than three years and it hasn't missed a beat.

Guillermo Amestoy375John: Hi !!! Congratulations on Your new toy, what 500 S&W. P. Center model is?, has the barrel weaver/picant. base included?
Check at S&W website, they offer a nice all steel weaver style base and Warne style detachable rings, I use mine with that base & rings but with a Leupold....waiting for my ultradot, It will arrive this week thanks to "Billinthewild", and "Withworth" advices on Ultradot red dot sights .... but I allready have a 30 mm warnes detach. scope rings waiting for that red dot (Dont expect the same quality from Talley rings, but they work fine) otherwise go for a steel ones like Leupold, Burris in weaver detach. style....Good Luck ! 375JohnHello Guillermo,
Thanks for the reply. It's an S&W 500 10 1/2" Performance center. It does have a built in picatinny rail on the barrel. I didn’t see any scope mounts in the box… I’ll look again. Do you have any load data for a 10 ½” incher? You can PM if you like. jwfsii@gmail.com

I have a ton of 500 Mag load data. I have an Excel spread sheet full of load data from 275 to 700 gr. loads.
If you want the information shoot me an e-mail. As for the Ultra-dot, that's all I will ever use. I like the Ultra-dot Match Dots, and the 1 inch Ultra- dots.

swampshooterMy Ultradot came with rings, if you have a picatinney rail you should be all set.
