Just got this back today. Jack Huntington does some great work. It's a tuned 44 mag.

Bigdog2I think you should pass it around and let all us squeeze that nice new trigger pull.
NO? Oh well, had to try.
Looks like a shooter. Very nice treatment on
the hammer.

Thanks! I've wanted a nice double action packing gun for years. I've always like the lookd of the Bowen Alpine and Reeders Alaskan Survivalist.

475GuyI was never a Redhawk man, but, if somebody offered me one, I wouldn't turn it down. All the "Custom" Redhawks by Bowen and now by Huntington are nice.
Lo do they call to me,
They bid me take my place

Great looking Redhawk! What`s the barrel length? What the make of the express sights on the 44?

Paul HJavier,
That looks alot like Dirk's redhawk.
What did he cut the barrel to, 4"? How does the action feel?
Looks great!

JD HHI 6092Thanks Gents.
I've wanted a DA revolver since I read an article on Bowens Alpine in Handguns or Gun & Ammo, don't remember which years ago. When I shot Dirks pistol that made me want one more. I also read an article on Reeders Alaskan Survivalist about a year go. That article made me start thinking about the gun all over again.
The barrel is 4". I was thinking about a 3" like Reeder's has but Huntington told me 4 " would be much better.
The front sight is a Freedom Arms base with a Ruger rear V notch. I wanted the Weigand's interchangable front sight system but Huntington told me he already the FA and they have more options.
The action is nice but it's not a Mag-Na-Port action.

Are you planning to get it Mag-Na-Ported?

Paul HI believe Javier was talking about how MNP smooths up a Ruger action. The redhawk I spoke of that was done up for our friend Dirk by MNP has a smoother double action then a Smith and Wesson.
