montycalhounOutstanding!! Where were you hunting?? What load were you using??
I have a Bowen Nimrod conversion in .45 Colt. I have only shot it about 50 times. He is building me a 32-20 now.

billinthewildI posted the requested detail on the South American Hunting thread......thanks for your interest.

Bowen does wonderful work. And for you revolver enthusiasts I would recommend his book, The Custom Revolver.....
And you are correct, Peter, "bore" is not a word to use with a Bowen revolver.....

PalmerWould you post a close up of that revolver?
Ivory and blue are so classic.

PalmerThanks Bill and Monty - great pistols. Hamilton Bowens crisp case coloring and blue and ivory (or elk) is just a work of art.
Anyone else?

montycalhounAllen,
Thanks, I gotta give credit where credit is due, the case coloring is by Doug Turnbull and the Ivory grips are by Roy Fishpaw. I also have a set of walnut grips by Fishpaw (see photo). All of these men do exquisite work. More expensive than some but worth every penny.
Bowen is doing a 32-20 for me now. It will also have case color by Doug Turnbull and Ivory grips by Roy Fishpaw. I will post pictures when it is done.
Safe shooting,
Monty
