S & W Mod 648
I'm looking at a Mod 648, 6", 22 Mag, with wood grooved grips. It's being sold as new in box. It looks "unfired" to me. The dealer is asking $529. It is a beautiful piece, but is there anything I should know about this model gun before negotiating on it?

I really don't know about the 648 specifically, but I have had disappointing results with the 22mag from a handgun. Perhaps the 648 is different. They are handsome guns, but do you plan on using it and what for? Through a chrono, the 22mag looses A LOT of velocity.
